WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
IUP baseball (0-7, 0-0 PSAC West) heads back to the state of North Carolina this weekend with a scheduled four-game series against Winston-Salem State (11-6, 0-0 CIAA). Games are set for Saturday and Sunday, March 10-11 with doubleheaders beginning at 1 p.m. The Crimson Hawks are looking for their first wins of the year against one of the top teams in the Atlantic Region, while the Rams are coming off of a three-game sweep of USciences a week ago.

NOTES
>> This is the third weekend of action for the Crimson Hawks and the first since their four-game Dinwiddie Challenge in Virginia two weeks ago
>> The Crimson Hawks have arguably the toughest schedule of any team in the region, with six of their seven games have come against teams ranked in the top 25 in Division II – No. 21 UNC Pembroke (3), No. 6 Saint Thomas Aquinas, and No. 2 West Chester (2)
>> Outfielder Chris Eisel (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) has had the most consistent bat early on, leading the team with a .440 batting average and 11 base hits; Eisel has four multi-hit games, two doubles, a triple, and a team-best seven runs scored
>> IUP has six home runs this year from six different players – Chris Calliari (Brockway, Pa./Brockway Area), Ted DeSanti (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep), Anthony Rigous (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), Wes Carson (Woodstock, Md./Marriots Ridge), Nate Dickey (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) and Cory Wheeler (Butler, Pa./Butler)
>> RHP Colin Claus (Oakdale, Pa./West Allegheny) has had a good start to his spring with a team-best 2.00 ERA in two starts with one complete game and 12 strikeouts in 9.0 innings pitched; He went the distance against West Chester, allowing just one run on three hits
>> Pitchers scheduled to start this weekend include Claus in game one, Mike Klingensmith (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney) in game two, and Alex Hart (State College, PA/The Kiski School) in game three; Game four is TBD
