WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
IUP baseball (6-18, 3-9 PSAC West) looks forward to its home appearance as they host a four-game series with Clarion (7-21, 2-10 PSAC West) Friday and Saturday at Owen J. Dougherty Field. First pitch each day is scheduled for 1 p.m. The Crimson Hawks are coming off of a 1-3 series at Gannon, while Clarion has lost four straight, including three in a row to California (Pa.) last weekend.

NOTES
>> These will be the first home games of the season for the Crimson Hawks as they've seen their first three divisional series' moved entirely on the road (Pitt-Johnstown, Mercyhurst, Gannon)
>> The Crimson Hawks went 10-4 in games played at Dougherty Field last year, including 10-2 in home divisional contests
>> IUP swept its four-game set with Clarion last year, outscoring the Golden Eagles 34-14; Nate Dickey (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) hit .500 in the series with seven hits, a .714 slugging percentage, and six runs batted in
>> Jeff Allen (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg Area) struck out eight and gave up just one earned run in a complete game win over the Golden Eagles last year
>> IUP will be looking to rebound after losing its last three games in its series with Gannon; The Crimson Hawks won the opener 6-4 but dropped the final three by a combined score of 41-18
>> Dickey is currently on a team-best seven-game hit streak, batting .476 with 10 base hits and a .667 slugging percentage during that span
>> Cory Wheeler (Butler, Pa./Butler) carries a five-game hit streak, raising his batting average nearly 50 points in the process
>> Projected game one starter Colin Claus (Oakdale, Pa./West Allegheny) has struck out 15 batters and walked just one in his last two starts (12 innings); He has a team-best 3.72 earned run average with 35 strikeouts in 29.0 innings
