IUP baseball (10-18, 7-9 PSAC West) faces a big weekend as they square off against divisional rival Slippery Rock (19-11, 12-4 PSAC West) in a four-game series Saturday and Sunday. The Crimson Hawks will host Saturday afternoon and finish up the four-game series in Slippery Rock Sunday. Both doubleheaders have a first pitch of 1 p.m.

>> The Crimson Hawks are coming off of a four-game sweep of Clarion, outscoring the Golden Eagles 44-25; All four games were played at Dougherty Field
>> Slippery Rock split its four-game series with No. 11 Mercyhurst last weekend, taking one game each in Erie and Slippery Rock
>> Heading into the weekend, Slippery Rock is tied with Mercyhurst for first in the PSAC West with a 12-4 division record; IUP is tied with California for fifth at 7-9, two games behind fourth place Seton Hill (9-7)
