GAME AT A GLANCE
IUP baseball (14-24, 10-14 PSAC) prepares to host a non-conference doubleheader this Tuesday against West Liberty. Tuesday's first pitch starts at 1 p.m. at Owen J. Dougherty Field. The Crimson Hawks head into Tuesdays game after taking three of four from the Seton Hill series, sweeping the Griffins yesterday 8-5 in both games.
 
NOTES
>> Senior Ted DeSanti (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep), was named the 2018 Owen J. Dougherty Player of the Year in-between yesterdays double header with Seton Hill; DeSanti is the second recipient of this award
>> DeSanti currently ranks sixth in the conference in hitting, with a .397 batting average and is tied for 12th in homeruns, with 7 thus far
>> Senior Dan Sepic (York, Pa./Central York) went 4-for-8 with three RBI and three runs scored in both games against Seton Hill yesterday; Senior Nate Dickey (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) went 3-for-7 with a triple and three RBI
>> Sophomore Chris Eisel (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) is on seven-game hitting streak and has recorded a hit in nine of the last ten contests, including six doubles over that span since returning from injury
>> Senior pitchers Dan Roan (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte) and Christian McClure (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) have been lights out from the bullpen over the past week, combining for 4.1 innings pitched, while only allowing one earned run, striking out four batters and securing three saves for the Crimson Hawks 
>> Red-shirt senior Chris Calliari (Brockway, Pa./Brockway Area) has recorded seven walks in the last six games, increasing his on-base percentage nearly .100 points, holding now a .461 
>> The Crimson Hawks currently hold sixth place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West division; The top four teams of each division make post-season
>> West Liberty spilt their series with Fairmont State this past Saturday; They rank third in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Northern Division
