THE WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
IUP junior DJ Horton heads to Charlotte, North Carolina to compete in the 2018 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three-day championship meet runs Thursday thru Saturday, May 24-26 at the Irwin Belk Complex in Charlotte. Horton will compete in the men's pole vault on the final day at 12:30 p.m.
 
NOTES
>> Horton is one of 754 total participants at this weekend's championships – 377 men and 377 women
>> He his making his third straight NCAA Outdoor Championships appearance, earning All-American honors with a pair of eighth place finishes in 2016 and 2017; this is Horton's fifth career championships appearance, including trips to NCAA Indoors as a sophomore and junior
>> Horton is a career three-time All-American, including those two eighth place NCAA Outdoor finishes and an 11th place NCAA Indoor finish in 2017
>> Horton is seeded seventh in the pole vault with a mark of 5.19 meters; Nolan Ellis of Colorado Mesa is first at 5.35 meters
