WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
IUP baseball (15-25, 10-14 PSAC West) faces a big weekend as they square off against California (23-19, 11-13 PSAC West) in a four-game series Friday and Saturday. The Crimson Hawks will play in Washington, Pa., Friday and will host the Vulcans Saturday. Both doubleheaders are scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

NOTES
>> The Crimson Hawks look to make a possible 2018 PSAC Championship appearance; In order to make postseason, IUP will need to sweep Cal in their weekend series and Clarion (11-31, 4-20 PSAC West) will need to sweep Seton Hill (23-20, 13-11 PSAC West)
>> IUP split a non-conference doubleheader with West Liberty, Tuesday afternoon; The Crimson Hawks scored 28 runs, their most in a doubleheader this season since they put up 30 runs on Lock Haven and Bloomsburg in a doubleheader on March 13 during the spring trip to Virginia earlier this season which is the biggest offensive output in one day under head coach Anthony Rebyanski
>> Five Crimson Hawks had four base hits against West Liberty, consisting of Chris Eisel (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), Dan Sepic (York, Pa./Central York), Anthony Rigous (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and Ted DeSanti (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep)
>> Eisel is currently on a nine-game hitting-streak, including two homers and five RBI against West Liberty
>> California is coming off a doubleheader split against Slippery Rock, trailing Seton Hill by two games in the PSAC West standings for the final playoff spot
>> The Crimson Hawks took the 2017 season series 3-1 over the Vulcans; IUP averaged .340 and totaled 36 hits with 27 runs
