BLOOMSBURG, Pa. –
Lizzi Clemmer scored the game-winner goal just two minutes into overtime to help the Crimson Hawks post a 2-1 win over Bloomsburg Saturday afternoon.
It was Clemmer's second goal of the season as it came off a corner attempt by
Kimberly Kelly just 2:30 into the first overtime period.
It was the second shot by Clemmer in the extra period as the Crimson Hawks (6-6, 2-3 PSAC) outshot Bloomsburg (3-9, 0-4 PSAC) 10-1 on the afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, Bloomsburg put the first goal on the board at the midway point of the third quarter on its first – and only – shot of the game.
The Crimson Hawks answered just after the start of the fourth as
Brianna Lubarsky netted goal number six of the season to tie the game at 1-1.
Lubarsky had a chance to put IUP on top minutes later but her shot of a penalty corner was saved by Bloomsburg's Hannah Barnard.
In addition to outshooting Bloomsburg 10-1, the Crimson Hawks also had seven penalty corners compared to the Huskies' two.
