aCLEVELAND –
Paige Mikesell posted a time of 55.02 and finished third in the 100 butterfly, highlighting IUP swimming's second day at Cleveland State's Mangus Cup Saturday.
Mikesell's time was good for an NCAA B cut time as she competed in the A final heat. It was her second NCAA B cut time of the weekend, also hitting a mark in the 200 IM Friday night.
She had one of 23 total qualifying times for the Crimson Hawks as 21 more swimmers combined for 22 total Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) marks.
Rachel Johnson narrowly missed another NCAA B time in the 100 breastroke, posting a 1:04.35 in the prelims which was just :00.27 off the qualifying mark. She ended up finishing in fourth in the A finals heat with a time of 1:04.47.
She was one of four PSAC qualifiers for the women in the 100 breast, which also included
Paige McCullough (1:05.66),
Sara Tipmongkol (1:09.54) and
Kenzi Kessler (1:10.15)/

Hartmann posts two times for the men
Ryan Hartmann was the only IUP swimmer with multiple qualifying times Saturday as he hit PSAC times in the 100 butterfly at 51.82 and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.67.
Three different IUP men's swimmers hit qualifying times in the 400 IM, including
Jackson Woolard at 4:10.41,
Taylor Auger at 4:12.49, and
Luke Emmerling at 4:20.81.
