WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
IUP Baseball (1-2, 0-0 PSAC West) will play three games over the weekend, beginning with a doubleheader against Le Moyne (0-0, 0-0 NE10) on Friday and one nine-inning game against Saint Anselm (0-0, 0-0 NE10) Saturday morning. Due to inclement weather forecasted for the area, the Crimson Hawks will not face East Stroudsburg on Sunday.
 
 
NOTES
>> The Crimson Hawks opened their 2019 series last weekend with UNC-Pembroke taking the series 2-1. IUP won the second game of the three-game series 11-1.
>> Nick Hess led the IUP offense last weekend, batting .500 (5-for-10) with four RBI, a double and a home run, over three games. He currently leads the Crimson Hawks in batting average, slugging percentage (.900) and on-base percentage (.545), while tying for the lead in hits and RBI.
>> Jeff Allen earned the win in the second game of the doubleheader against UNC-Pembroke. He struck out seven batters, his most since fanning eight on April 8, 2017 at Clarion.
>> IUP is batting a combined .323 (32-for-99), while opponents are batting .230 (20-for-87).
>> Le Moyne and Saint Anselm will both open their seasons on Friday. Saint Anselm is scheduled to play a doubleheader against East Stroudsburg.
>> The Dolphins concluded their season with a 34-17-1 overall record. They return five players to earn all-conference honors, including Northeast-10 conference Player of the Year Ben Walsh and Rookie Pitcher of the Year Ryan Murphy. 
>> Saint Anselm finished the 2018 season with an overall record of 11-28. They return sophomores Matthew Butigian and Will Conaton. Butigian led the Hawks in batting average as a freshman.
