WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
The IUP Crimson Hawks (12-25, 5-15 PSAC West) will travel to Jack Critchfiled Park on Friday to open their weekend series against Slippery Rock (12-21, 3-15 PSAC West). The Crimson Hawks will return to Dougherty Field on Saturday to celebrate Senior Day as they conclude the series with a doubleheader.
 
NOTES
>> IUP defeated Shippensburg 5-3 on Monday, marking their fourth win over their last six games.
>> On Saturday, the Crimson Hawks will recognize their five seniors: RHP Brian Albert, RHP Jeff Allen, RHP Colin Claus, RHP Mike Klingensmith and UTL Matt Swartz.
>> IUP's senior pitching staff has combined for a 5.55 ERA (87 ER/141.2 IP) and has held opponents to a .254 (139-for-547) batting average.
>> Swartz, the lone senior position player, leads the team in slugging percentage (.619), on-base percentage (.439) and in hits (40). He ranks second in average (.339), runs scored (29), and home runs (8).
>> Junior Chris Eisel has hit 10 home runs this season, the most by an IUP player since Ryan Uhl (29) and Austin Mock (16) in 2015. Six of his 10 homers have come since April 6 against Mercyhurst, batting .369 (17-for-46) with 12 runs scored, 14 RBI, five walks and three stolen bases.
>> Freshman Nick DiAndreth leads the team with a .351 (27-for-77) average. He has recorded a hit in 20 of his 26 games this season in which he has had a plate appearance.
