THE GAME
The 24th-ranked Crimson Hawks hit the road in week two as they square off against Millersville Saturday afternoon. Kickoff from Chryst Field @ Biemesderfer Stadium is set for noon.
Both teams come into the matchup after wins to open the new season a week ago. IUP defeated Northeast-10 favorite New Haven 24-13 on the strength of timely sacks and turnovers from its defense. The Crimson Hawks picked off three passes, recovered a fumble and picked up four sacks. It marked the 19th time in the last 22 years IUP opened the year with a win.
Millersville came from behind to defeat Pace 21-20 last Thursday night as the potential game-winning field goal sailed wide with six seconds left. The Marauders turned the ball over three times but scored 14 points in the third to take the lead. It was the first season-opening road win for the program since 2009.
