INDIANA, Pa. – The 10th-ranked Crimson Hawks used a lock down defense and a goal from
Kimberly Kelly to score a 1-0 win over visiting Seton Hill under the lights at Miller Stadium Wednesday night.
The win was the fourth straight to start the season for IUP, the most since starting 4-0 in 2011.
It was also the third straight shutout victory for the Crimson Hawks, who haven't allowed a goal in almost 194 minutes of game action.
The Crimson Hawks got on the board just over two minutes into the second quarter as Kelly deflected one past the Griffins' goalie for her first score of the season.
The IUP defense didn't give up a single shot to Seton Hill (0-3) which managed just one penalty corner all night.
