THE WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
IUP baseball (0-0, 0-0 PSAC West) opens its 2020 season with a trip to North Carolina to take on Lenoir-Rhyne this weekend. Originally a three-game series set for Saturday and Sunday, the teams will now play a pair of double headers on Friday and Saturday for four total contests. First pitch of the weekend is set for Friday at noon. This will not be the first action of the season for the Bears, who have a 2-5 record, including three losses to No. 20 Mount Olive last weekend.

NOTES
>> The Crimson Hawks enter the fourth season under head coach Anthony Rebyanski '06 in 2020. He led IUP to a second place Western Division finish and PSAC tournament berth in 2017.
>> IUP was picked to finish seventh in the PSAC West preseason coaches poll released at the end of last month. The Hawks were also picked seventh in 2017 before making their postseason run.
>> The Hawks return eight position starters from a season ago, including two-time All-PSAC West selection Chris Eisel in center field. A trio of .300 hitters in outfielder Nick DiAndreth, utility player Nick Hess, and first baseman Ben Teplin also return.
>> These two teams last played in 2012, a double header split in Hickory, N.C. that included a 20-7 victory by the Crimson Hawks.

EISEL LOOKS FOR HOT START TO 2020
>> Senior OF Chris Eisel heads into the 2020 season with a career .333 batting average and .543 slugging percentage, banging out 24 doubles and 17 home runs in 124 starts.
>> He's coming off a season in which he set career-highs with 39 runs scored, 11 homers and 37 RBI.
>> Eisel opened last season with five hits, a homer and four RBI in a three-game set at UNC-Pembroke. He collected a base hit in 10 of his first 13 games while hitting .367.
