LAST TIME OUT
This is the first action for IUP swimming since the Paige Mikesell and Rachel Johnson competed on the first day of the 2020 NCAA Division II Championships in Ohio last March 11. The championships were cancelled prior to the finals that night.

The last time both teams were together came at the PSAC Championships in February, as the women finished second and the men finished fourth.

NOTES
>> The women return a pair of 2020 All-Americans in juniors Paige Mikesell and Rachel Johnson. Mikesell earned honors in the 100 and 200 yard butterfly, and the 200 yard freestyle. Johnson earned selection in the 100 yard breaststroke.
>> Mikesell was also named the Women's Most Outstanding Swimmer at the PSAC Championships after winning four conference titles (three individual, one relay) and broke two meet and one school record.
>> Redshirt senior Claire Mikesell – Paige's sister – is another All-American on the women's roster, returning to the pool after redshirting a season ago. She earned All-American honors with a seventh place finish in the 200 breaststroke at the 2019 NCAA Championships with a school record time.
>> Returning for the men is junior Ryan Hartmann, who was named the Men's Team MVP a season ago. Hartmann led the team with 149 points during the season and 29 points at the PSAC Championships, and hit an NCAA B standard at the 200 IM.

UP NEXT
This is the first of five dual meets currently scheduled during January and February. The Crimson Hawks will host Wheeling in their season-opener next Saturday, February 6, at the Pidgeon Natatorium. Start time is yet to be announced.
