YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Three Crimson Hawks hit qualifying marks in the opening meet of the season as the IUP indoor track & field teams returned to action at Youngstown State's YSU Icebreaker Friday afternoon.
IUP's three marks were Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualfying standards, including
Cahsia Page in the 200 meters,
Hailey Dodson in the shot put, and
Jayden Thomas in the high jump.
Page posted a time of 25.98 in the 200m - just under the 26.00 threshold - finishing 13th overall, including third among Division II runners. Dodson had a toss of 12.78 meters in her first collegiate indoor meet, finishing sixth overall and first among DII throwers. Thomas cleared 1.90 meters, good for 10th.
They were three of 17 Crimson Hawks who competed in the season-opening meet on Saturday. Some near-qualifying athletes and marks are below.

This was IUP's only indoor action in December as the Crimson Hawks will be back in action in the last weekend of January at the Youngstown State National Mid-Major Invitational.
