INDIANA, Pa. - Georgiana Chiavacci scored a pair of goals and
Amanda Zaner had four saves as IUP field hockey wrapped up a perfect weekend with a 3-1 win over Lindenwood Sunday at Miller Stadium.
Chiavacci scored the game's first goal in the ninth minute on a penalty stroke and added an insurance score in the 40th on a breakaway play.
Allyson Myers scored the second goal of the game less than three minutes after Chiavacci to give IUP a 2-0 lead in the first.
Lizzi Clemmer and
Shelby Harnish each tallied assists in the game.
Zaner earned the win in her first career start in the cage with the IUP defense playing tight and allowing just six Lindenwood shots with 10 penalty corner plays.
The Crimson Hawks start the season 2-0 with a pair of weekend wins, also defeating Newberry 2-1 Friday.

IUP is back in action on Saturday with a road game at Seton Hill. The Griffins were 0-2 with a pair of 5-0 losses this weekend in Indiana.
