INDIANA, Pa. - Four Crimson Hawks earned All-Atlantic Region honors as the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its regional outdoor awards following the conclusion of the season.
Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.
IUP saw two men and two women earn all-region honors, including
Kendall Branan, Hailey Dodson, Cassidy Kline and
Evan Weaver.
Branan earned all-region in the 800 meters, posting the second fastest time in the Atlantic in that event with a time of 1:51.10. The NCAA provisional time came at the PSAC Outdoor Championships, where he finished second. It's his second all-region honor of the year, also landing on the 800 meter list during the indoor season.
Kline is also a two-time all-region honoree, earning her second straight outdoor selection in the 400 meter hurdles. Winning the PSAC title in the event, her NCAA provisional time of 1:01.55 ranked second in the Atlantic and 28th in Division II.
Dodson and Weaver secured their first career all-region honors. Dodson had the third best shot put in the Atlantic with a toss of 13.99 meters while Weaver posted the fourth best time in the 3000 meter steeplechase at 9:16.32.
