EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Hanna Lewis pushed second-ranked East Stroudsburg to a 1-0 win, breaking a scoreless tie with just 39 seconds left against IUP on Saturday afternoon.
ESU (15-2, 8-1) clinched the top overall seed in the upcoming PSAC Tournament for the first time since 2018. Meanwhile, IUP (8-7, 4-5) secured a spot in the postseason as the six seed, the first conference tournament appearance for head coach
Kelly Terwilliger in just her second season.
ESU logged its 11th consecutive win against IUP. The Warriors held a 23-3 edge in shots with
Anita Planella racking up eight saves on the afternoon, along with two defensive saves in the contest.
Aubrey Dorsey had a chance denied late in the third quarter for the Hawks, while ESU applied offensive pressure into the fourth quarter before breaking the scoreless tie.
