CLEVELAND – The IUP swimming & diving programs posted school records and NCAA B standards on the second day of Cleveland State's Magnus Cup.
Athanasios Diamantidis added a school record for the IUP men's squad, coming in the 100 breast finals, finishing second overall in the event with a 54.25.
Kasha Stokes highlighted the prelim session with a school record and NCAA B cut in the 100 back, posting seventh in the prelims with a 55.82.
The Hawks logged a pair of top-20 finishes in the 400 IM prelims with
Tyler Uhlig in 16th (4:17.66) and Joey Pieklo (4:20.03).
Luke Mikesell notched sixth in the 200 free prelims on Friday morning behind a 1:40.38.
Avital Flaishman posted second in her heat of the D-Final race behind a 1:54.48 in the 200 free.
Erin Moyer qualified for the B-Final of the 100 breast, touching the wall in 1:05.40.
Luke Mikesell set his second NCAA B standard in as many days on Friday, this one in the 200 free prelims in 1:40.38. He posted a faster time in lead off for the relay event in the finals at 1:38.86.
The 200 medley relay team of
Alexander Roth, Diamantidis,
Luke Ramalho and
Chris Scoboria notched 8th overall, posting an NCAA B Cut mark of 1:33.06. For the women, the 200 medley relay group of Stokes,
Erin Moyer,
Amber Baldani and
Tina Cudina registered 18th in 1:45.15.
Andrew Taylor qualified for the B-Final of the 100 fly, finishing seventh in his heat and 17th overall in 51.88.
