SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The IUP track & field programs had a handful of top-three finishes across different events in a strong showing during Saturday's Susquehanna Early Season Invitational.
Cahsia Page,
Isabella Sadler,
Bella Brozeski and
Cassidy Kline handed IUP a first-place finish in the women's 4x400 relay with a 4:10.21.
SahBri Hill posted IUP's lone Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying standard, posting first in the men's triple jump with a 14.09 mark on his fifth attempt.
IUP claimed the second, third, fourth and fifth spots in the women's 60m hurdle, part of a strong event for the group.
Renee Simmonds was second in the race with a 9.97, later adding third in the shot put (11.43).
Alexandria Hartman (9.99), Kline (10.06) and
Hedda Folkhage (10.08) followed in the 60m hurdles, occupying the third through fifth places.
Owen Putt logged second in the 400m (51.59) and
Justin Egizio was the runner-up in the 200m with a mark of 23.04.
In the women's 60, Page zipped to a third-place time of 8.04 with
Emma Laughlin followed in fourth (8.05).
Egizio later anchored the second-place men's 4x400, joining
Trenton Jubin,
Zachariah Debose and
Treyvon Eiswerth for a combined time of 3:35.30. Laughlin added a strong finish in the sprinting events for the IUP women, racing to a third-place 27.05 in the 200m in addition to her 60m finish.
Adam Wood and
Ella Evans were each third in the high jump event for the Hawks.

IUP returns to action in the new year, bringing a small group to the YSU Invitational on Friday, January 19.
