SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – IUP (5-9, 3-5) could not stop second half rush from No.1 Shippensburg (15-0, 8-0) during their PSAC matchup this afternoon, facing a 4-0 defeat.
Shippensburg dominated the game, posting 19 total shots with nine on goal, while IUP managed only seven shots with five on target. The Hawks had a few opportunities, with three attempts in the first quarter and four in the fourth but went shotless in the second and third quarters.
Holding steady in the first half, Shippensburg took away in the second after scoring four goals.
Jess Davidson led IUP with five shot attempts, while
Cassie Romanczuk added two. Goalkeeper
Anita Planella recorded four saves, and
Brooke Eberly, who subbed in at 50:02, made one save.
