YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The IUP track and field teams began the 2024-25 season with 10 top-10 finishes at the 13th Annual YSU Icebreaker Meet presented by Southwoods Health Information on Friday.
Justin Egizio placed 10th out of 49 runners in the men's 400m with a time of 49.71. In the 5000m,
Dan Gibney was the only top-five finisher for the Hawks this afternoon after grabbing fifth place among 34 others with a time of 14:48.52.
Adam Wood and Cusatis rounded out the top 10 finishers for the men in jumps. Wood placed ninth in the high jump (1.86m) and Cusatis grabbed 10th (6.77m) in the long jump.
The women's 4x400m relay placed fifth among 12 teams with a time of 4:07.40, runners were
Mackenzie Kirsch,
Bella Brozeski,
Sterlene Scott, and
Cahsia Page. Page placed 10th out of 48 in the women's 400m with a time of 59.34.
Alyssa Hoover grabbed seventh place in the women's 800m (2:31.49). The final top 10 finisher on the women's side was
Jenna Wilt who placed sixth out of 17 in the pole vault (3.40m).
