BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The IUP indoor track & field teams wrapped up action with three all-conference awards at the 2024 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships on Monday at Lehigh University.
In the final team standings, IUP finished seventh in the men's event (39 points), while the women's team posted 14th with seven total points.
Kendall Branan was part of two out of IUP's three All-PSAC awards on Monday. He earned his first top-three finish in the men's 400m finals, logging third in 50.34. He later finished the meet out with
Trenton Jubin,
Owen Putt and
Justin Egizio in third during the final race of the championships, also recording third in the men's 4x400 relay (3:25.54).
SahBri Hill rounded back into form in the conference championships, earning All-PSAC honors with his runner-up finish in the triple jump (14.41).
Ella Evans had a top-five finish for the IUP women in the high jump (1.61m), while
Renee Simmonds closed out a strong meet in the women's shot put (13th; 11.63m).
Bryna Kelly had a podium finish after qualifying for the finals of the 60m hurdles, notching eighth overall on Monday with a 9.33 mark.
The men's distance group showcased some strong depth, finishing with a pair of top-10 overall finishes in the one mile and 3000m.
Mike Formica paced the group in both races, finishing fifth in the mile (4:19.31) and fifth in the 3000m (8:47.55).
Dan Gibney logged eighth in the men's 3000m (8:49.01), while
Evan Weaver posted ninth in the mile run (4:22.51).
