SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – A win in the 3,000m steeple for
Joel Beckwith and eight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying marks highlighted a productive regular season finale for the IUP outdoor track & field teams on Saturday.
The Hawks posted some solid marks across the board at the Paul Kaiser Classic, an annual meet hosted by Shippensburg. It marks the first of IUP's two consecutive trips to Shippensburg and Seth Grove Stadium, the site of the 2024 PSAC Outdoor Championships.
Hedda Folkhage qualified for the 100m hurdles finals heat for IUP, while
Cahsia Page added a PSAC mark in the 100m (5th; 12.43). The IUP women also received runner-up PSAC qualifying marks from
Gwyn Keith in the 3,000m steeple (12:10.80),
Nataiah Robertson in the long jump (5.78m) and
Kaylla Williams in the javelin (38.76m).
Zachariah Debose posted a top-eight mark in the men's 110m hurdle prelims, qualifying for the finals.
Adam Wood posted a PSAC mark in the men's high jump with a third-place mark of 1.88m.
Sarah Isenberg and
Amanda Gwinn each posted PSAC qualifying standards with a 1.55m in the women's high jump.
