INDIANAPOLIS – After winning its first NCAA Super Regional series in program history, the IUP baseball program enters the 2024 NCAA DII College World Series seeded fifth, announced Sunday night.
IUP (38-16) opens the double-elimination championship tournament against No. 5 seed Point Loma on Saturday, June 1 at 1:30 p.m. in Cary, North Carolina. From there, the Crimson Hawks will play on Monday, June 3.
IUP had its back against the wall after Seton Hill claimed game one of the NCAA Super Regionals. The Crimson Hawks responded with consecutive wins over the Griffins, becoming the final team to earn a spot in the DII College World Series.
It will be the first DII World Series appearance for IUP, continuing a historic campaign for the Crimson Hawks. The event runs from June 1-8 in Cary.
