INDIANA, Pa -- The IUP field hockey team hosted Kutztown at home today in a spirited matchup but came up short in a 3-0 loss. The game was significant as it served as the Team Impact Game, honoring 9-year-old
Kylie McMullen, who was celebrated as an honorary signee with the Crimson Hawks. The team and fans came together to support Kylie and raise awareness for pediatric cancer during the event.
IUP goalkeeper
Celeste Pagliaroli played all 60 minutes in net, making two key saves while allowing three goals. Defensively,
Nora Kirkwood (#17) contributed a standout effort with a crucial defensive save, helping keep the game close.
Despite the loss, the Crimson Hawks displayed resilience and determination, generating offensive pressure and creating multiple scoring opportunities. However, Kutztown was able to convert on key moments to secure the win.
The Crimson Hawks will look to regroup and build on their efforts as they prepare for their next matchup.
IUP will head to Mansfield on Wednesday, Oct. 15 when the Crimson Hawks take on the Mountaineers.
