LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The IUP cross country teams competed at the Go Fast River Run on Saturday, with the women's team finishing first out of three teams. The men's team had three runners compete but did not meet the minimum to earn a team score.
For the women, senior Katie McCormick and freshman Addison Matthews finished first and second, respectively. McCormick completed the 6,000-meter race in 24 minutes, 11.6 seconds — more than a minute faster than Matthews, the runner-up. Sophomore Hailey Hirtz rounded out the top five.
For the men, senior Parker Bradley was the top finisher for the Crimson Hawks, placing 17th with a time of 28:09. Junior Dillon Green finished just over four seconds behind in 18th place.
