Smith named Player of the Year, Hays and Lattea named CCA All-Region

INDIANA, Pa. — Three IUP women's soccer players earned all-region honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association, the organization announced Tuesday.

Elle Smith was named the Atlantic Region Player of the Year after leading Division II in goals. Smith scored 20 goals and added seven assists for the Crimson Hawks.

PSAC West Defensive Player of the Year Emma Hays joined Smith on the first team. Hays anchored a back line that allowed just six goals in the regular season and ranked in the top 10 nationally in goals allowed per game and shutout percentage.

Emily Lattea was selected to the second team after finishing among the nation's top 10 in goals scored. Lattea tallied 14 goals and 30 assists, forming one of Division II's most dangerous scoring duos alongside Smith. Together, they combined for 34 goals to pace the nation. Lattea was a key reserve who consistently provided an offensive spark.
