COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — IUP senior attacker Jes Davidson has been named to the NFHCA Division II Atlantic All-Region first team, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced. The team is sponsored by Apex Field Hockey. Davidson became the first All-Region selection for the IUP Field Hockey Program since Anouk Sickman in 2012. Davidson is one of the most decorated Field Hockey players in program history.
Davidson was one of 32 Division II players honored and one of 16 selected to the first team. The first-team list included 14 student-athletes from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, the most from any league.
Davidson finished the season third in the PSAC in shots, seventh in goals and second in assists and game-winning goals. She also led the conference in points.
The PSAC placed four teams in the NCAA Division II Tournament field and accounted for three of the final four semifinalists, further bolstering its status as one of Division II's top field hockey conferences.
