IUP Field Hockey Earns NFHCA Academic Team Award

COLORADO SPRINGS— The Indiana University of Pennsylvania field hockey program has been recognized as one of 17 Division II teams to receive the Academic Team Award from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association, the organization announced.

To qualify for the honor, programs must achieve a minimum team grade-point average of 3.50 during the fall semester. The Crimson Hawks posted a 3.64 GPA, highlighting both academic commitment and success away from competition.

Eight IUP student-athletes recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs during the semester, contributing to one of the strongest academic showings in the program's recent history. The team finished just three hundredths of a point shy of ranking among the top three academic-performing programs in NCAA Division II.

The recognition continues a trend of academic achievement for the Crimson Hawks, reflecting the program's emphasis on classroom performance alongside athletic development.
