RICHMOND, Va. -- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is pleased to announce the selection of 781 teams from 459 institutions for the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2024 semester. These teams, comprising 19,209 student-athletes, were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.
IUP had both the men's and women's squads earn recognition as Scholar All-America Teams. The men's squad finished the fall semester with a 3.20 cumulative GPA, while the women logged a 3.18 GPA. The women were one of 69 Scholar All-America Teams for fall 2023, with the men representing one of 56 DII squads to earn the academic distinction.
On the men's side, both Andrew Taylor and Tyler Uhlig earned 4.0 GPA's. For the women's team, Summer Esson, Hiba Laknit, Lucy Vogt, and Torri Zanella earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.
To earn this prestigious recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) above 3.0 during the Fall 2024 semester.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
IUP is set for the 2025 PSAC Championships in York from February 17-20.
