LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Junior outfielder
Maddie Griffin has been selected for PSAC West Softball Athlete of the Week honors after posting multiple dominant offensive performances that propelled the Crimson Hawks to an extremely successful week.
Starting in every game in the week span, Griffin batted .609 (14-23). She hit three doubles, three triples, and combined for nine RBIs in the span of six games. Also proving herself as a massive threat when she got onto base, Griffin was able to successfully steal six bases on seven attempts which doubled the amount her opponents had during the week span.
In her two most recent performances in a doubleheader against Edinboro, Griffin appeared at the plate six different times. She was able to successfully acquire a hit four of those times and brought home six runners to help pull ahead the Crimson Hawks in their blowout sweeps against Edinboro. In the outfield she recorded five putouts and had seven catches.
