LOCK HAVEN, PA. – IUP Sophomore Hannah Beitat was named PSAC West Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week, announced Monday afternoon. 

This past week, the women's tennis team traveled to Slippery Rock and Greensburg to face two PSAC opponents. IUP won both conference matches with scores of 4-3 against Slippery Rock and a 7-0 sweep against Seton Hill to improve to 7-6 overall on the season and 2-0 in conference action.

Beitat logged two wins in No. 3 doubles with her partner Asel Calbay. Beitat also recorded two No. 4 singles wins.  

Beginning on Saturday against Slippery Rock, Beitat notched a 6-1 victory in No. 3 doubles and won in No. 4 singles with the scores of 6-3, 6-7, and a score of 6-1 in the third set. Her win helped clinch the 4-3 victory against Slippery Rock. 

On Sunday against Seton Hill, Beitat swept No. 3 doubles with a score of 6-0. In No. 4 singles play, she won both sets with the same score of 6-1.
