Lock Haven, Pa. – Senior catcher Davin Landers has been awarded PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors after posting an extremely efficient week that has assisted the Crimson Hawks in their nine game winning streak.
Appearing in six games during the week, Landers batted .667 (12-18) as well as notching four doubles, and two home runs for an overall total of eight RBIs. As a catcher, Landers recorded 23 putouts.
From April 9-13, Landers appeared at the plate on twelve different occasions, he notched a successful hit each time, posting a 1.000 batting average during that five day span.
In Saturday's doubleheader against Clarion, he combined for a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate, scored six runs, hit three doubles, and had two RBIs. Landers hit a home run in the third game of the series which jump-started the scoring for the Crimson Hawks. Through the first game on Sunday, Landers went 4-for-4 at the plate and recorded two RBIs.
