NEW ORLEANS – IUP had four student-athletes selected to the 2025 All-Atlantic Region team, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced.
Mike Formica earned honors in the 1,500m and in the 5,000m. Formica ranks first in the region with a 3:45.62 time in the 1,500m at the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 12 when he broke the PSAC record. He ranks third in the 5,000m with a 14:24.51 mark at the Virginia Challenge on April 18.
Matthew Cusatis ranks third in the triple jump with a 14.88m mark at the PSAC Championships on May 8.
Kaylla Williams posted third in the region in the women's javelin throw with a 45.49m mark at the Bucknell Team Challenge on April 19.
Marco Cardone ranks fifth in the region in the 3000m steeplechase with a 9:20.95 mark at the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Championships.
Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season.
The Atlantic region consists of schools from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Mountain East Conference (MEC) and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).
