INDIANA, Pa – Crimson Hawk senior baseball player,
Ricardo Aponte was named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), announced on Tuesday. Aponte follows up second team All-PSAC Selection with being appointed one of Division II's top student athletes.
Aponte, a native of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, earned a 3.70 cumulative GPA while majoring in management. Ricardo not only excelled in the classroom, but his talents on the diamond were also top notch. In 48 starts, Aponte led the Crimson Hawks with 34 runs scored while batting .317. His 12 doubles and 53 hits ranked him second on the team. He was successful in stealing 16 of the 19 attempts he had on the season.
