SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Indiana University of Pennsylvania dropped a 3-0 decision to top-ranked Shippensburg on Saturday.
Shippensburg scored twice in the first quarter. Lilly Cantabene opened the scoring at 5:28 on an assist from Kelly Naude, who added the Raiders' second goal at 14:43 off an assist from Agus Garibaldi.
IUP had several chances to respond but could not break through the Shippensburg defense.
Crimson Hawks goalkeeper Celeste Pagliaroli made several saves to keep the game within reach, but Shippensburg continued to apply pressure and capitalize on penalty corners.
Despite the loss, IUP battled across all four quarters and showed resilience against the nation's top-ranked team.
