INDIANA, Pa. – Following a historic 2026 season that saw IUP softball tie the program record with 38 victories and advance to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) semifinals, head coach Shawna Bellaud and the Crimson Hawks have announced two winter camps at Memorial Field House and Zink Gymnasium.
The program will offer a Youth Camp for girls in grades 3-7 on Saturday, Jan. 30, and a Winter Prospect Camp for players in grades 8-12 on Sunday, Jan. 31.
The Youth Camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 30. Participants will receive hands-on instruction from the IUP coaching staff and student-athletes, focusing on offensive and defensive fundamentals while developing their overall softball skills. Registration costs $95.
The Winter Prospect Camp will take place Jan. 31 and feature three specialized sessions designed to provide position-specific instruction and skill development.
The pitching session will run from 9-11 a.m. and costs $65, with participants required to provide their own catchers. The defensive session will follow from noon to 2:30 p.m. at a cost of $85, while the offensive session will conclude the day from 3-6 p.m. and costs $95. Participants can register for all three sessions at a discounted rate of $195.
The camp will provide prospective student-athletes with an opportunity to work directly with the Crimson Hawks coaching staff while developing their skills in a collegiate environment.
Both camps will be held at Memorial Field House and Zink Gymnasium on IUP's campus.
The camps follow one of the most successful seasons in program history. Under Bellaud's leadership, the Crimson Hawks captured the PSAC West regular-season championship, matched the school record with 38 victories and advanced to the conference semifinals.
The winter camps will give aspiring softball players an opportunity to learn from one of the PSAC's top programs while continuing their development ahead of the upcoming season.
