LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Taylor Bumgardner earned her first weekly conference honor Monday, as the freshman from the IUP Crimson Hawks softball was named PSAC West Pitcher of the Week by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Bumgardner picked up two wins in the circle during a 3-1 weekend for IUP in Salem, Va. The freshman improved her record to 5-6 on the season across 10 appearances.

The Crimson Hawks outscored opponents 20-5 over the four games, including a 9-0 shutout that Bumgardner tossed during the weekend.

Bumgardner becomes the first IUP softball player to earn a PSAC weekly award this season.
