INDIANA, Pa. – Fresh off a season that saw the IUP men's basketball team return to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16, head coach Joe Lombardi and the Crimson Hawks will host several youth camps and an elite camp this summer.
IUP advanced to the Atlantic Region championship game and held eventual national champion Gannon to a halftime deficit, becoming just the second team all season to lead the Golden Knights at the break.
The program will host a Youth Camp for players ages 7-11 from July 13-17. Running daily from 9 a.m. to noon, campers will receive instruction from the coaching staff and current student-athletes, develop fundamental skills and participate in scrimmages. The cost of the camp is $100.
Players ages 12-16 will have two opportunities to attend camp this summer. The first, a day camp, will run from June 22-25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $225. The second session, an afternoon camp, will take place from July 13-16 from 1-4 p.m. and carries a registration fee of $100.
The Crimson Hawks will also host an Elite Camp on July 25 for prospective student-athletes looking to showcase their skills in front of the IUP coaching staff. The camp will feature two sessions, with the first running from 1-4 p.m. and the second from 5-8 p.m. Registration is $100 per session.
All camps provide participants with an opportunity to develop their game while learning from one of the premier programs in Division II basketball.
