Watson Named to NABC Honors Court Following Outstanding Academic Career

INDIANA, Pa. – IUP graduate Anthony Watson added another accolade to his distinguished career Wednesday, earning recognition on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for his achievements in the classroom.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excel academically while competing at the highest level. Watson graduated from IUP with both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in sport management and posted a 3.9 grade-point average during his graduate studies.

Watson spent three seasons with the Crimson Hawks after transferring from Butler County Community College, becoming one of the program's veteran leaders on and off the court. Throughout his career, he helped IUP remain among the premier programs in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and NCAA Division II.

The NABC Honors Court recognition adds to Watson's legacy as a student-athlete who excelled both academically and athletically during his time in the Crimson and Gray.
