INDIANAPOLIS — IUP redshirt senior Dallis Dillard added another honor to his resume, earning second-team All-America recognition from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association, as announced Tuesday.
Dillard becomes the only PSAC player to be named an All-American by the D2CCA this season, further solidifying his status as one of the top players in NCAA Division II.
The accolade adds to a growing list of postseason honors for Dillard, who was also named the D2CCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year. He has been the driving force behind IUP's success throughout the year, leading the Crimson Hawks on a deep postseason run.
Dillard turned in a stellar statistical season, averaging 20.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game while finishing among the top five in the nation with 80 total steals. His ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor made him one of the most complete players in the country.
In addition to his scoring and playmaking, Dillard's defensive presence stood out nationally, as his 80 steals ranked among the leaders in Division II.
Dillard played a pivotal role in guiding IUP to the Atlantic Region championship, helping the Crimson Hawks advance through a competitive field. Along the way, IUP's defensive effort was highlighted by holding Gannon to a halftime deficit for just the second time all season.
Dillard's All-America selection underscores his consistency, leadership and all-around excellence during a memorable season for both himself and the Crimson Hawks.
