Redshirt sophomore quarterback Lenny Williams, Jr. earned IUP Athlete of the Week honors for the week ending on Sunday, September 11.
Williams had possibly his best career game, totaling 468 yards and six touchdowns in a 73-42 win at East Stroudsburg on Saturday night. The signal caller went 20-of-24 for a career-high 380 yards and three touchdowns through the air, while adding 88 yards and three more scores on 14 carries.
The yardage total is the second highest in IUP history, behind only the 504 yards Williams put up last year at Slippery Rock. The six touchdowns he was responsible for is tied for the most in single game IUP history (Chris Temple, 2015).
The Crimson Hawks totaled 789 yards of offense on Saturday, the second most in PSAC history, while the 73 points are the third most in a single game in IUP history.
