Junior women's lacrosse goalie Angela Lontoc has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the school's sports information office on Monday.
Lontoc helped the 20th-ranked Crimson Hawks to a 2-1 week, as the junior put together near-stellar performances in the net. Playing all 180 minutes, she had a .564 save percentage and 31 saves, posting a goals against average of 8.00.
She was part of a total defensive performance that limited high-scoring Lock Haven to just four goals in a 9-4 win on Friday, finishing with 10 saves and a .714 save percentage. Lontoc followed that up with 12 saves in a win over Bloomsburg on Saturday, her fifth outing of double-figure saves this season.
It's her first career IUP weekly honor.
