Redshirt sophomore receiver Dom McNeil has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the sports information office on Monday, September 18.

McNeil helped the sixth-ranked Crimson Hawks to a 65-16 win over Cheyney on Saturday, scoring three of IUP’s nine total touchdowns on the afternoon. His touchdowns came in three different ways: a 45-yard reception; returning a blocked punt 15 yards; and recovering a botched punt snap in the end zone.
 
His first two touchdowns came just 1:30 of game time apart, with McNeil blocking and recovering that punt on Cheyney’s ensuing drive after his receiving score. In addition to his special teams exploits, he finished with 70 yards on four receptions offensively.
 
It’s his first career IUP weekly award.
