Redshirt junior quarterback Lenny Williams, Jr. has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the sports information office on Monday, Nov. 27.

Williams helped top-seeded IUP to a 44-10 blowout win over visiting West Chester in the second round of the 2017 NCAA Division II Championships this past weekend. The Crimson Hawks outgained the fifth-seeded Golden Rams 558 yards to 232 yards, scoring 37 straight points to open the game.

Williams totaled 275 yards and four touchdowns on his own. He completed 13-of-22 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for another 41 yards and a score on 11 carries. The signal caller spread the ball around to five different receivers, connecting on passes of 62, 51 and 49 yards.
