 Senior Derek Noll and junior Nickeela Austin were named the IUP Athletes of the Week, announced by the sports information office Monday afternoon.
 
This is the second IUP weekly honor this year for both Noll and Austin. 
 
Derek Noll claimed victory in the 800-meter race, finishing with a time of 1:50.35. Noll's finish was not only his fastest time of the outdoor season so far, but also broke an 18-year-old stadium record at Lock Haven.
 
Austin also had a strong performance for the Crimson Hawks in the women's triple jump, earning a second-place finish with a distance of 11.71 meters, good for a PSAC qualifying mark. Nickeela was the highest placing athlete for IUP in the women's triple jump.
