Jasa Mitchell earns IUP Athlete of the Week after being named to the First Team All-PSAC West. Mitchell had a huge season at the plate, setting a single season homerun record with 15 blasts. She led the team in nearly every offensive category, with a .388 average, 44 runs scored, 59 hits, 3 triples, 123 total bases and a .809 slugging percentage. Mitchell was the conference leader in both homeruns and slugging percentage. Her 28 career homeruns ties the record held by Sarah White (2003-06). Mitchell hit four homeruns at the PSAC Softball Championships, including a walk-off three-fun homer against West Chester on Friday. She had eight RBIs in the five PSAC Championship games, including three in a 9-0 win over Bloomsburg and three in the 7-5 win over West Chester. Mitchell was also solid defensively, and did not commit an error in centerfield all season.
