Men’s Cross Country Competes in Go Fast River Run

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The IUP men's cross country team finished fourth overall at Lock Haven's Go Fast River Run on Saturday afternoon.

The meet featured five runners for the Crimson Hawks, who competed in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships last weekend.

Dalton Trump (Lancaster, Pa. /J.P. McCaskey) was IUP's top finisher with a 27:17.60 on the 8k course, finishing 24th overall. Joey Franze (Wexford, Pa. /North Allegheny) came in 28th with a 27:38.50 and Mitchell Porter finished in 30th with a time of 28:07.90.

Also running for the Crimson Hawks were Jack Iannuzzi (Dalran, NJ/Dalran), who finished 34th with a time of 28:44.70 and Aaron Snook (Duncannon/Susquenita) whose time of 29:40.20 was good for 39th overall.

Lock Haven won the event while Shippensburg, East Stroudsburg and Cheyney also competed.

The Crimson Hawks will hit the course again in Lock Haven on Nov. 9 in the 2013 NCAA Atlantic Region Championships.
