AT A GLANCE
The 16th-ranked Crimson Hawks take their eight-game win streak on the road to battle bitter rival Slippery Rock on Saturday evening. IUP is coming off of a 79-69 victory over Edinboro at home on Wednesday while SRU has dropped two straight games, including an 86-82 2OT loss at Seton Hill on Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT
Gr. G Shawn Dyer (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding) and Sr. G Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter) led the Crimson Hawks to their 10-point victory on Wednesday, pulling away late for the win. Dyer posted his first career double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds while Chance hit four 3-pointers en route to a 24-point night. 

WHAT'S NEXT
The Crimson Hawks return home to "White Out" the KCAC for the first time of the year when they host Pitt-Johnstown next Wednesday. The Bobcats have won three straight heading into this weekend, including an 8-point win over Gannon.

PSAC WEST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
On Monday, Jr. G Brandon Norfleet (Virginia Beach, Va. /Landstown) was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week after averaging 19.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg while shooting 52.2 pct fromt he field. He scored 19 against Cheyney - his former team - on Wednesday before dropping 20 on Cal. 

IUP IN THE POLLS
With the help of its two wins last week, IUP moved up four spots to No. 16 in the latest NABC coaches' top 25, released on Tuesday. The Crimson Hawks have been ranked in all seven coaches' polls this season. They also re-entered the D2SIDA media poll at No. 25. 

REGIONAL RANKINGS
For the 3rd consecutive release, IUP remains at No. 3 in the D2SIDA Atlantic Region rankings. This regional media poll is new this year and is voted on by a group of four sports information directors in each NCAA Division II region. 

WIDENING THE MARGIN
The 10-point win over Edinboro was the closest game that the Crimson Hawks have played in the 2015 calendar year, as they've won their five games defeating their four opponents by an average of 18 points per game. This includes a 24-point win over Cal, a 22-point win over Cheyney, and a 19-point victory at West Chester.  

SHOOTING THE LIGHTS OUT
IUP is the top overall shooting team in the PSAC, leading the league in field goal pct (48.7) and free throw pct (76.9) and is 2nd in 3-point field goal pct (40.1). Seven times the Crimson Hawks have shot over 50 pct in a game and nine times they've converted at least 77 pct from the foul line. 

TAKING OVER
Norfleet has been one IUP's top scoring threat during its current eight-game win streak, averaging 16.1 ppg while shooting 54.1 pct from the field, 45.5 pct from 3-point range, and 96.4 pct from the foul line. He's reached double-figures in scoring in seven of the eight games, scoring a season-high 21 against Lock Haven and putting up 20 at Cal. 

FLOOR GENERAL
Sr. G Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter) has guided IUP's offensive charge all season long, leading the team with 14.8 ppg and ranking 1st in the PSAC with 6.1 apg. He has 14 double-digit scoring games - including 24 against Edinboro - and has dished out 7 or more assists six times. Chance is also shooting 46.2 pct from the floor and 82.7 pct from the foul line. 

DISHING IT OUT
Chance is a main reason why the Crimson Hawks are 2nd in the PSAC and 35th in Division II with 16.4 assists per game. His 6.1 apg is 10th in the nation while Norfleet is 11th in the conference with 3.4 apg. 

A SHOT TO DYE FOR
Gr. G Shawn Dyer (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding) is IUP's 2nd leading scorer this year, averaging 12.4 ppg in his first year with the Crimson Hawks. He's reached 20+ points twice in the last four games, including a season-high 25 against Edinboro. Dyer is 5th in the PSAC with 2.5 3s per game and is 10th with a 39.3 3FG%. 

HEATING UP
Also on a hot streak has been Sr. F Jeremy Jeffers (Wilson, N.C./Greenfield School). He's reached double-figures in scoring in each of the last five games, averaging 12.0 ppg over that span. He's shooting 57.9 pct (22-38) from the field and 59.1 pct (13-22) from 3-point range in those games.  

PLAYING DEFENSE
The Crimson Hawks boast one of the best defenses in the PSAC as they're 2nd in the conference and 5th in the nation with just 59.9 points allowed per game. IUP has limited each of its last eight opponents below its season scoring average, including Cal and East Stroudsburg, which were held to 30 and 21 points, respectively, below their season averages.

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
Since the start of the 2011-12 season, the Crimson Hawks are a combined 49-6 in games played in the KCAC. The best year came in their 2012-13 PSAC championship season with a 17-1 record, including 3-0 in postseason games. During that time, IUP has an average home attendance of 1,586.
